  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 pound ground beef, cooked and seasoned (or ground turkey or plant-based beef)
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, cook 1/2 pound of ground beef for 6–8 minutes until browned. Season with salt and pepper then set aside.
  2. Chop iceberg lettuce and dice the tomato. Finely chop the onion and pickles, and shred the cheese.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked ground beef with chopped vegetables and cheese. Pour the special sauce over everything and toss gently.
  5. Serve immediately in bowls or on a platter.
