  • 3 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 6 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and paprika.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and hoisin sauce. Add the seasoned chicken and mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender.
  4. For a thicker sauce, mix 1/4 cup of the sauce with cornstarch until smooth. Stir back into the crockpot.
  5. Add broccoli on top of the chicken mixture and cook on HIGH for an additional 20 minutes until tender-crisp.
