- 3 cups crumbled cake (about half of a 9x13 cake or ½ a boxed cake mix)
- ½ cup vanilla frosting
- 2 cups white candy melts
- 1 tablespoon refined coconut oil (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Red and blue gel food coloring
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, crumble leftover cake into fine pieces. Mix in frosting until it forms a dough-like consistency.
- Pack the mixture into cakesicle molds and insert popsicle sticks. Freeze for about 30 minutes until solid.
- Melt white candy melts in intervals in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Optional: add coconut oil to thin.
- Dip each frozen cakesicle into the melted coating, allowing excess to drip off before placing on parchment paper.
- Mix powdered sugar with water to create drizzle icing; tint with red and blue food coloring as desired.
- Drizzle colored icing over each cakesicle and add decorative toppings if desired.
- Let cool completely before serving.
