- 400g sliced cremini mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 125ml mayonnaise
- 60ml crème fraîche
- 125ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 125ml grated Havarti cheese
- 125ml grated Gruyère cheese
- 125ml mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
Instructions
- Sauté the sliced cremini mushrooms in melted butter and olive oil over medium-high heat for about five minutes until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and continue cooking for another five minutes until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, crème fraîche, melted butter, minced garlic, dehydrated onions, and black pepper until smooth. Fold in all four cheeses.
- Toast sourdough slices under the broiler until lightly golden on both sides.
- Mix cooled mushrooms into the cheese spread and generously apply it onto each toast. Top with reserved mushrooms.
