  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted for topping)

Instructions

  2. Pour peaches from the first can into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish; drain juice from the second can and add just the peaches.
  3. Mix melted butter, salt, lemon juice, sugar, and vanilla extract into the peaches.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt; pour over the peach mixture.
  5. Smooth the topping mixture evenly over the peaches.
  6. Drizzle melted butter on top and bake at 400°F for 15 minutes; reduce to 375°F and continue baking for about one hour until golden brown.
