  • 12 tsp crushed red chili flakes (adjust to spice level)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 cup uncooked jasmine rice
  • 3 cups water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cook jasmine rice in salted water until fluffy; keep warm.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Add chicken pieces; cook until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Stir in sliced onion and bell peppers; cook until slightly softened.
  6. Mix in soy sauce, crushed chili flakes, and cornstarch slurry (if using). Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with jasmine rice.
