  • 3 cups strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 cups water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar (for syrup)
  • 3 cups boiling water (for steeping tea)
  • 3 family-sized Lipton original tea bags
  • 8 cups cold water
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes until strawberries are soft and liquid turns deep red.
  3. Strain the mixture into a pitcher using a mesh strainer.
  4. In a large bowl, steep tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved.
  6. Pour sweetened tea into the pitcher with strawberry syrup.
  7. Add cold water and lemon juice; stir well.
  8. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving over ice.
