  • 2 chicken breasts (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup sour cream (full-fat)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sliced onion. Sauté until softened and browned (10-15 minutes), then add minced garlic for another 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Stir in sour cream until smooth; heat gently without boiling.
  6. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over it, and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
