  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil for searing
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter, for cooking
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear beef until browned on all sides. Remove from heat.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
  3. Transfer beef and sautéed vegetables to a slow cooker. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, coconut milk, tomato paste, and spices; mix well.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.
  5. For naan, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir in yogurt and warm milk to form a dough; knead lightly.
  6. Divide dough into small balls; roll out each ball into an oval shape.
  7. Cook naan in a skillet over medium heat until bubbles form; flip to brown both sides. Brush with melted butter mixed with minced garlic before serving.
