Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups Red, White & Blue M&M'S (plus more for topping)
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (plus more for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 aluminum baking dish with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a stand mixer, beat together room temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Gently fold in M&M'S and mini chocolate chips (reserve some for topping).
- Spread dough evenly into the prepared baking dish and top with reserved M&M'S and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
