  • 2 tablespoons culinary matcha powder (sifted)

  • 1 ⅓ cups milk
  • 2 ⅓ cups mochiko
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • For Ganache: 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon culinary matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, sifted matcha powder, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine mochiko and salt; gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For ganache: Melt white chocolate chips with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Mix in matcha powder until well blended.
  7. Once brownies cool completely, pour ganache on top and let set before cutting into squares.
