Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters (cleaned and on the half shell)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to high heat (500°F / 260°C).
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Place oysters on the grill flat-side up. Grill with the lid down for 2–3 minutes until edges curl.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the lemon butter sauce onto each oyster. Close the lid and cook for another 1–2 minutes until butter sizzles.
- Carefully remove oysters from the grill using tongs and serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra parsley.
