  • 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • blue cornflower petals (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ground Earl Grey tea, lavender, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet with space between each cookie and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
