Instructions

  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, sour cream, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Combine wet ingredients with dry and stir until just mixed.
  4. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pans for ten minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  5. Beat chocolate cream cheese with powdered sugar until fluffy; add heavy cream for extra smoothness if desired.
  6. Once cooled, assemble by layering one cake with half of the cheesecake mixture. Top with the second layer and finish with ganache made from melted heavy cream and semi-sweet chocolate.
