Ingredients
- 750 ml lemon juice
- 8 fresh lemons
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the lemon peels by carefully removing the zest from the lemons and placing it in a glass container. Pour in the lemon juice and seal tightly. Store in a cool, dark place for 2 to 4 weeks, shaking occasionally.
- To create the syrup, combine sugar and water in a medium pot over medium heat, stirring until dissolved. Chill the syrup in the fridge for at least 10-15 minutes.
- Once infused, strain the lemon mixture to separate the peels from the liquid. Press down to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Mix the chilled syrup with the strained limoncello concentrate and pour into glass bottles.
- Serve over ice or mixed with sparkling water for a refreshing spritz.
