Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and apple cider vinegar.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate in the fridge for at least 15 minutes (up to 4 hours for best results).
  3. Preheat your grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and shake off excess. Place on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until grill marks appear.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce on one side of the chicken before flipping; cook another 6-7 minutes while basting with more sauce.
  6. Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
  7. Allow the chicken to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
