Description

Homemade Greek fries are a delicious twist on the classic French fry, bringing the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean right to your table.   • 4 medium Russet potatoes (about 1.5 lbs), peeled and cut into fries
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Drain and pat dry the potatoes.
  3. Toss potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a bowl until evenly coated.
  4. Spread fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional oregano or alongside tzatziki sauce.
