  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped for garnish)
  • 1 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the medium pasta shells until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak pieces with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear for 4-5 minutes until browned; transfer to a plate.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute. Lower heat and add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese; whisk until smooth.
  4. Combine: Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency. Stir in seared steak bites and heat through for about 2 minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving hot.
