- Gradually add kosher salt and flour until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide into equal pieces. Roll each piece into ropes and wrap around mozzarella sticks, sealing well.
- Boil water with baking soda and gently boil each pretzel for 30 seconds before placing on parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle coarse sea salt on top.
