  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 3/4 cups (345 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2/3 cup (130 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, plus 1 egg yolk, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie cookie dough by mixing room temperature butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  3. For the chocolate chip cookie dough, cream cold butter with both sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mix in vanilla, then add dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  4. Form balls using both doughs, combining one brownie ball with one chocolate chip ball.
  5. Bake for 8-9 minutes until edges are set but tops remain soft, then cool before serving.
