  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Add salt, oil, and 2 cups of flour; mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead until smooth, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for one hour.
  4. Punch down the dough and divide into 16 pieces. Roll each into a 12-inch rope and cut slits to shape like bones.
  5. Place on a lined baking sheet to rise for another 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F and bake for about 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese, then serve warm with marinara sauce.
