Ingredients
- 6 oz lady fingers
- 1/2 lb blueberries
- 1 lb blackberries
- 1 lb mascarpone cheese
- 4 organic free-range egg yolks
- 5 tbsp granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup organic heavy cream
- 4 tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional garnish: basil leaves and lilac flowers
Instructions
- Prepare the berry puree by simmering blackberries and blueberries with lemon juice, vanilla extract, honey, and water in a saucepan. Strain after cooling.
- Whip heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form; refrigerate.
- Cream egg yolks and sugar together; add mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
- Combine solid berries from the sauce into half of the mascarpone mixture.
