- 1/3 cup sour cream or plain yogurt, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup strong black coffee, cooled to room temperature
- 1/3 cup plant-based cream alternative
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature (for frosting)
- 4 cups confectioners’ sugar (for frosting)
- 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder (optional, for frosting)
- 1 and 1/2 Tablespoons strong black coffee, cooled to room temperature (for frosting)

Instructions
