  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and apple cider; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Roll each dough ball in a cinnamon-sugar mixture before placing it on the sheet.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool on racks.
